Mrs. Ida Taylor

Mrs. Ida Taylor, 81, died November 2nd, at the Cunningham Retreat, Warrensburg. She had been a patient there for several years.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Theodore and Morton Hammond, both of North Creek, and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Steves of Fort Ann, NY. Other survivors are 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the North Chester Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Allen. Interment was in Federal Flats Cemetery, Olmstedville. Bearers were Collins Hammond, Courtney Hammond, Hollis Hammond, and Earl Hammond.

Mrs. Taylor was the former Ida Wells. She was born in 1875 and was married to George Hammond at the age of 16. He died in 1924 and in 1927 she married D. Ross Taylor who died in 1937. She is mourned by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Stella Wells of North Creek and Mrs Catherine Wells of Glen Falls; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. William Hammond of North Creek and Mrs. Morton Hammond of North Creek.
