Nancy M. Dowd

On Sunday, September 6, occurred the death of Mrs. Nancy M. Dowd, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. L. Cary, Hampton, N.Y. The cause of her death was ulceration of the stomach. Mrs. Dowd was born in Palermo, N.Y., July 13, 1806. She was the daughter of John and Elsa McWithey Hall. In 1827 she married Eber Dowd, and became the mother of nine children, five of whom survive her. For over thirty years she has been a member of the Advent Church. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at her late home, Rev. Robinson officiating. The remains were interred in the family lot in the Hampton cemetery.
